In Maths we have been learning about Venn diagrams and we now know how to use them to sort information. We used the internet to help us sort animals into three different sections of a Venn diagram - carnivores, herbivores and omnivores.
During our Literacy lessons we have been finishing our sand sculpture stories. We now have four new stories -The Sand Dolphin, The Sand Seahorse, The Sand Fish and The Sand Seal!
Thank you Early Years for sharing the yummy tomato pizza you made!
We had a great time at our annual Sports Day on Wednesday! Click here to visit our News Page to find out more.
We visited the CET Fruit Shop and we used our decomposition skills to help us work out our change.
Week 4
This week we focused on the things people do at the beach. We looked at trips to the beach from the past and compared them to the present. Did you know that the Victorians would change into their swimming suits inside a bathing machine? Did you know they also liked to build sandcastles?

We went on a trip to the "beach" to build sandcastles and to make sand sculptures. First we designed our sand sculptures in the classroom and then we went outside to create them. Do you think they match our designs?
During our Maths and Literacy lessons we have been carrying out assessments to test our knowledge, skills and understanding. We have worked very hard this week!
We also compared holiday travel from the past with today's. There have been some small changes and some big changes to make holiday travel more luxurious.
We role played the story at assembly to teach our friends the things they should do if they meet a stranger. We also created posters to warn people about the wolf.
