We have had a fantastic and productive year in Reception!
Now it is time for rest and fun!

Week 8
It has been a wonderful and very busy week!
We created summer art work, learned summer vocabulary and developed their fine motor skills.
On Wednesday we made healthy and yummy snack for our parents, then we performed summer dances and songs during our fantastic Summer Assembly.
We also went on a whole school trip to the park 'Gilyovskaya Roscha' on Thursday. We have had a joyful time there!
Week 7
This week was very busy. We have been preparing for our Summer Assembly all week by learning new dances and songs.
We have started making summer arts and crafts because the summer holidays are very close!
It was the final week of our IPC unit "Food".
On Monday Early Years went shopping to buy ingredients to make a pizza and a fruit salad which they made on Tuesday.

Week 6
Our IPC lessons were about kitchen equipment and kitchen safety. We also created a shopping list that will help us to go shopping on Monday to buy ingredients to make a pizza and a fruit salad.
During our Phonics lessons we revised our tricky words and alternative spellings for long 'ie' sound.
We learned how to count in 5s during our Maths lessons.
Playing musical instruments and learning a summer song.
Week 5
This week we learned about the traditional food from around the world. We looked at the map of the world and matched some dishes to their countries. We also created our own food with a variety of craft materials, designed menus for an International Cafe and painted pictures of our favourite food from different countries.
The most exciting thing this week was cooking and then eating Mexican, Chinese, Italian and American food: vegetable quesadilla, glass noodles with beans, tiramisu and banana milkshake.
During our Maths lessons we revised addition and subtraction. We had interesting sessions of playing bowling and taking skittles away as well as walking around the school, counting the students in each classroom and then adding all the numbers together.
Our English writing lessons were devoted to a non-fiction topic, creating and writing an invitation. We composed
Sports Day invitiations.

Week 4
IPC
This week was devoted to healthy eating .
We looked at the Food Pyramid and discussed what types of food we should eat more and what to est less. We also explored how food helps our body and its parts.
This week we have also held an imporant event, Early Years Class Assembly, for our parents. We showed some of our knowledge about "Food", sang songs and presented a video of us baking Ginger Biscuits.
We are getting more confident at swimming lessons.
