This year, for International Book Week, each class will be learning about a different country and making a book about it for our School Library!
Monday
Today Miss Yana read us a fable about a dog and a bone. The moral of the story was to be happy with what you have, instead of being greedy and jealous.

After the story, we got into our House Teams and made our own fables! We showed lots of cooperation and worked together to make amazing stories, with very thoughtful messages!
Tuesday
Today, we got into our House Teams and Mr McNab gave us a Geography challenge! We had to work together to solve some flag jigsaw puzzles! It was quite difficult, but we showed lots of cooperation and completed our mission!
Wednesday
As lots of the countries we are learning about have volcanoes and other interesting features, Mr Finlayson showed us some amazing Science experiments! With help from his magic potion, Mr Finlayson taught us how to make bubbles!
It was lots of fun watching the bubbles grow bigger and bigger! It was also very interesting when Mr Finlayson showed us how to put a cup inside a bubble without bursting it!
Thursday
Today we turned into international animals! Miss Allen gave us different tasks - to act like animals from the countries that each class has been learning about!
It was lots of fun becoming kiwi birds, arctic foxes, eagles and llamas!
Friday
Today we had our International Book Week Assembly! We showed all our mums, dads, friends and families everything we have learned this week about our country!
We had lots of fun this week and learned some amazing things! We hope you did too!
